This is the current situation of sale of fish in the fish markets of India. Initial agenda of this project was to come up with a simple product to stop the dirty water accumulation in fish market. After understanding of this system, a refined brief was defined.

To come up with a packaging solution for fish in the fish market which will make it easy to transport, carry and display fish along with keeping it fresh and protected.
Problem Understanding
Opportunity mapping
Opportunity mapping is an important tool used to analyze opportunities in accordance to their properties. This process comprised of evaluating opportunities under criteria like form, cost, scale etc. This whole process of observing the list of opportunities, lead to a relevant product brief.
Activity analysis
This involved listing and representing all tasks, actions, objects, performers and interactions involved in the process of fish sale. Analyzing the activities and procedures of the whole system helped in understanding some unanticipated needs and concerns.
Product life cycle
The flow of activity through all phase of the sale system was synthesized and made into a cycle. This aided in identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for functional alternatives.
Cost chart
The product has a large market, so cost is a major concern. This chart shows the cost increasing factors of the package.
Conceptualization

Many such sessions were done during the whole process. This helped in getting different outlooks on the subject. Such contributions can help in quickly generating a wide variety of context and behavior based concepts. It also helped in early validation of the ideas.

Introducing
Sealink is a packaging solution for fish in the fish market which enables easy transport, carriage, sale of fish along with keeping it fresh and protected.
Display of fish for sale can be done by opening the lid to show fish filled tray. The tray has insulation base which maintains low temperature for fish stored below. Empty tray can be refilled easily by lifting and sliding it on the guided path provided on the rim which in turn exposes the second tray with stored fish. The water from the melted ice can be drained out easily from the drain plug because of the tilt provided in the water collection base. Empty boxes can be sent back again and reused. The returned boxes are cleaned and loaded with fish to start its journey again.
